Diesel tunnel locomotives is take internal combustion generator(Volvo generator) as the dynamic power, ac-dc-ac frequency transmission, narrow gauge used diesel locomotive(hereinafter diesel train or diesel electric engine locomotive), it mainly suitable for coalmine, metallurgy, mining , forest, and railway and highway tunnel and micro tunnel construction non-explosion proof transport traction.

The tunnel diesel powered electric locomotive rail gauge is suitable for 600mm, 762mm and 900mm,both for ground and underground tunnel boring machine, tunneling machinery, tbm machine, underground mining boring machine.

How diesel locomotive works


Diesel locomotive, is powered by the electric locomotive Volvo generator provide the AC, the ac through frequency convert into voltage and frequency adjustable 3 phase to supply two set common 3 phase traction motor, each motor rotor through coupling to drive reduction gearbox, through secondary gear reduce transmission to the wheelaxle, thus to tract the diesel electric locomotive train engine.

 

Structure


Diesel electric locomotive main structure is consist of the car body, walking device, air braking system, driving system, diesel locomotive train engine generator, electric brake mode and braking resistance, sound purification system, steering control system, air compressor system, etc.
